Chadlite test: chad, chadlite or normie?

Last updated: October 2026

Upload one front-facing selfie and the test tells you where your face sits on the PSL scale and which tier that is: normie, high-tier normie, chadlite, chad or gigachad. It measures symmetry, facial thirds, facial fifths and golden ratio from 478 landmarks, in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

What chadlite means

Chadlite is the band just under chad. On the PSL scale it is 6 to 6.9: a clearly attractive face where everything is balanced and two or three features are strong, roughly the top 3 to 5% of male faces. A chad is 7 and up, where every ratio sits near the ideal at once. More on the band itself is on the 6 PSL page.

How the test decides your tier

Four measurements are scored from 0 to 100 and combined: symmetry (35%), facial thirds (25%), facial fifths (25%) and golden ratio (15%). The composite maps to PSL so that an ordinary, balanced face lands around 4, and every 8 composite points is one PSL point. It is the same engine as the PSL score test, with the result read as a tier.

Why most people land below chadlite

Because the scale is built that way. PSL is centred on 4 and reserves 6 and up for faces where several features are strong at once, so most faces, including good-looking ones, measure as normies or high-tier normies. A photo taken from below, under a ceiling light or with a wide lens also pulls the numbers down. Take the photo again with the setup below before reading too much into one result.

Moving toward chadlite

The geometry this test measures is mostly bone, which is why the score barely moves week to week. What moves how a face reads is everything around it: body fat, which sharpens the jaw and the cheekbones; skin; a haircut that suits the face shape; grooming; and the photo itself. How to looksmax, in order covers them from the biggest effect down, and the full rating in the app scores those traits directly.

How the measurement works

The page loads a face landmark model into your browser and finds 478 points on the face: the corners and lids of the eyes, the brows, the bridge and base of the nose, the lips, the cheek edges, the jaw corners and the chin. It then levels the head, corrects for a small turn or a camera held above or below eye level, and measures distances and angles between those points. Every number is a ratio, so the size of the photo does not matter.

Nothing is uploaded. The model runs on your device, the photo stays on your device, and the result image you can save is drawn on your device. Close the page and nothing remains.

FAQ

What is a chadlite?

Someone whose face sits just under chad on the PSL scale, 6 to 6.9: clearly attractive, balanced, with two or three strong features. Roughly the top 3 to 5% of faces.

Am I a chadlite?

Take the test with a front-facing photo at eye level in even light. A result of 6 to 6.9 on the PSL scale is the chadlite tier.

What is the difference between chad and chadlite?

Chad is 7 and up, where every ratio sits near the ideal at once. Chadlite is 6 to 6.9: strong and balanced, but not every feature at the top.

Is the chadlite test free?

Yes. It runs in your browser with no account, and the photo never leaves your device.

How accurate is the chadlite test?

It measures geometry precisely on a clear photo, but camera height, lens, light and head angle all move the numbers. It does not read skin, hair or jawline definition; the full rating in the ChadMe app does.
