What the attractiveness score measures
The score is a weighted composite of four classical measurements. They are the same four that facial aesthetics research, plastic surgeons' proportion analyses and the looksmax community all lean on, because they describe the bone structure of the face rather than the day's grooming.

Each measurement becomes a score from 0 to 100 that falls off smoothly as you move away from the ideal, so a face that is close on everything scores in the eighties and a face that is far off on one thing loses a few points rather than failing. The composite maps to the everyday 1 to 10 scale, where 5 to 5.5 is average, and to the stricter PSL scale shown next to it.

How the measurement works
The page loads a face landmark model into your browser and finds 478 points on the face: the corners and lids of the eyes, the brows, the bridge and base of the nose, the lips, the cheek edges, the jaw corners and the chin. It then levels the head, corrects for a small turn or a camera held above or below eye level, and measures distances and angles between those points. Every number is a ratio, so the size of the photo does not matter.
Nothing is uploaded. The model runs on your device, the photo stays on your device, and the result image you can save is drawn on your device. Close the page and nothing remains.
What the test cannot see
A ruler measures proportions. It does not see skin, hair, brows, the definition of the jaw at a given width, the expression in the eyes or how the whole face reads together. Those are the things people react to in person, and they are what a rating from a human, or from an AI that looks at the whole photo, adds on top of geometry. Two faces with the same proportions can be a 5 and a 7 to everyone who meets them. That gap is what the app is for.
Get the reading a ruler cannot give

How to get an accurate result
- Camera at eye level, at arm's length or further. A low camera lengthens the chin and widens the jaw; a high camera shrinks them.
- Even light from the front. A window behind you or a lamp above you puts shadows exactly where the landmarks are.
- Face the camera straight on with a neutral expression, mouth closed, hair off the forehead.
- No filters, no beauty mode, no crop that cuts the chin or the ears.
- Use the same setup when you compare two photos. Different setups produce different numbers on the same face.
If the result shows a warning that the head is turned, the camera is off eye level or the face is small in the frame, retake the photo before you read anything into the score. Those three things move the numbers more than any feature does.
Attractiveness test vs rate my face AI vs PSL rating
They overlap but are not the same. An attractiveness test like this one measures geometry and gives a 1 to 10. A rate my face AI looks at the whole photo, including skin, hair and expression, and gives a judgment. A PSL rating uses the looksmax community's stricter 1 to 8 scale, on which a 4 is average and a 6 is already top five percent. Is my photo uploaded?
No. The face landmark model downloads to your browser once and runs on your device. The photo never leaves your phone or computer.
How accurate is an AI attractiveness test?
The measurements are precise to a few pixels on a clear photo. What limits accuracy is the photo itself (camera height, distance, lens, head angle) and the fact that geometry is only part of attractiveness. Treat the score as a measurement of proportions, not a verdict.
What is a good attractiveness score?
5 to 5.5 out of 10 is average and most faces measure between 4.5 and 6.5. A 7 puts you in the top few percent on proportions.
Why is my score different from an app or from ChatGPT?
Different methods. This test measures distances and angles against classical ideals. A model that looks at the whole photo judges texture, expression and grooming too, so it can rate a well groomed 5 as a 6 and a tired 6 as a 5.
Does it work for women?
Yes. The proportions apply to any face. The PSL tier names shown next to the score come from a male-coded forum culture, but the measurements do not depend on gender.

Can I improve my score?
The bone measurements barely change after your early twenties, but the photo can: eye level camera, distance and light routinely move a score by half a point or more. Real changes that people notice, such as fat loss under the jaw, skin, hair and brows, mostly show up in a whole-photo rating rather than in geometry.
